A common cause of tinnitus is excessive earwax buildup. This can be easily removed with a curette or warm water. A simple ear infection can be treated with antibiotics and hydrocortisone drops. Rare cases may require surgery to treat an otosclerosis condition or remove a tumor. Ringing in the ears can be caused by this condition.
A great way to reduce stress and tinnitus is to do breathing exercises. You can do a simple breathing exercise by taking five deep, slow breaths for seven seconds. The goal of this exercise is not to make tinnitus go away completely. Instead, it is to help alleviate symptoms and prevent them from reoccurring.
